
IES students visited TREC and learned about ornithology! Students studied bird characteristics, identification and wetland restoration! The end ended with a bird watch around Presque Isle!


Some members of the Elf, Jr. cast put on a sample of the Elf, Jr. show for the school board tonight. Please come and support our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students in their show at IHS this Friday, 11/15/19 and Saturday, 11/16/19 at 7 PM.





Picture retake day is tomorrow, Friday, November 8th. If your child's picture is being retaken, please return the unwanted picture package tomorrow. If you did not previously order pictures, it is not too late. Please contact Ms. Womack in the school office for details.

#PYDONEFAMILY will be hosting a “Meals Matter” family dinner on Wednesday, November 20th from 6-8pm at Iroquois Elementary. Join us for a family-style dinner, highlighted speaker, and game night. Child care will be provided in the gymnasium. This event is FREE but you must RSVP to Julia Boyd at jgabrys@iroquois.iu5.org no later than November 15th.”

Students earned a silly string war against Mrs. Foutz today as a reward for their fundraiser sales! Thirty cans of silly string later, fun was had by all!

On parent/teacher conference day, November 7, 2019, parents are also invited to stop by an information table to learn more about our School-wide Title I program from 10:00-11:00 AM or 3:00-4:00 PM. Thank you for supporting the Greatest Elementary School on the Planet!


Parent/teacher conferences are on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 10-6 pm. There is no school for kindergarten through sixth grade students. Due to grant requirements, PreK will be in session, and parents of PreK students can meet with Mrs. Kiddo for a conference. Thank you!


Mrs. Luke's 5th grade homeroom received the most bees during October and was awarded the BeeKeeper wreath. Queen Bee Mrs. Luke was presented with the wreath and her award. Congratulations Mrs. Luke and her homeroom, we're very proud of your safe, kind, and responsible choices!
