IES is so very proud of our hard-working students. When intervention groups began in September, 109 students participated in Reading Intervention, and 156 students participated in Math Intervention, while some students accessed both intervention programs. After just one semester of consistent intervention, 90 students have “tested out” of Reading, Math, or both interventions because they no longer exhibit instructional gaps. In total, 54 students are exiting Math Intervention and 34 are exiting Reading Intervention. Of those students, three incredibly hard-working students have exited BOTH Math and Reading Intervention! By our calculations, after over 38,000 minutes of ELA intervention and over 26,000 minutes of Math Intervention, 33% of students who participated in our intervention programs have tested out! We are so, So, SO proud of out students and decided to celebrate their progress with a very special "Make your own Lunchable" Luncheon with their Math Intervention teachers and Reading Intervention AmeriCorps Members.
