11th Grade Elite Brave: Ethan Sonney
Clubs and/or Sports: Golf, Swim, Track and Field
What do you love about Iroquois? What I love about Iroquois is our staff. Every teacher I have had has always worked to the highest extent to help each individual student. Our teachers make learning a fun experience to get involved in the subjects, especially teachers like Mr. Ferruggia and Mrs. Doverspike.
What are your future aspirations? (College, career, trips, etc.)
I hope to go to college locally to major in education and become a history teacher in the local area. History is my favorite subject and I want to spend my life getting kids to be as involved and interested in our history as I am.
What teacher has made the most impact on you and why?
I’ve only had him for one quarter so far, but Mr. Ferruggia has made the most impact on me. He aims to make every class period fun while we’re learning but is also able to be serious about certain topics. He always has a personal experience or story that he can connect to anything we learn about. His jokes always make everyone laugh and put us in a good mood on days when we might not feel our best.

I want to go into the coast guard straight out of high school. After, I will go to college at Mercyhurst to get a degree in technology for cybersecurity or software engineer. I would also want to visit different countries.
What teacher has made the most impact on you and why?
Mr.McCabe because his class is not easy, but he teaches us through history class and that makes the class easier in a way.

This is just a reminder that students on quarantine are still required to log on to Schoology to complete work while they are not attending school. Students coming back from a quarantine will only have two additional days to make up or turn in any missed work. If a student on quarantine needs help with any subject, they can contact the office for assistance.
